Who/What're some of your influences?
Rowley's up there for sheer creative gnarliness, MJ is one smooth cat, Svitak has ghetto-spot courage, Busenitz kills it, J. Lee and Hensley back in the day for setting up shop.

Favorite time period in skating?
Hmmm... It's pretty good now in terms of actual skating - interesting tricks, diversity, old/new school division is eroding, but I have a nostalgic sweet spot for the early nineties Hokus Pokus era, not to mention the first plan B video which made me basically crap my cut off clown-pants.

What's on the Ipod?
Takaru, Colisuem, BeatJunkies, From   Ashes Rise, Explosions in the Sky, The Constantines, The Shins, minor threat

What takes up your time outside of skateboarding?
Reading books about what's fucked in the world and how to change it, sci-fi books, making and listening to angry rock, teaching English, thinking about skating...

What's a typical day in the life? get up too early to teach all day, read in between on the tram, go skate in the afternoon if its dry, watch movies hang out with katka at night.

Pet peeves?
Smoking, infection of the lamestream in the skateworld, people who don't think past their own noses...

Why do you still skate?
Keeps me sane. keeps me young(ish). still as fun as day one.
